Notre Dame Basilica is one of the stunning churches in Quebec. Pope John Paul II in 1982 declared Notre Dame Basilica as the minor basilica. It was a church prior and was a serene place of worship dedicated n 1682.  By the year 1824, the original church was no more into existence. It was not even able to embrace the increasing numbers. That is the reason, new construction started to begin on the twin tower Gothic exterior. However, James O’Donnell created this design. He was the protestant Irish American.

In 1830, the church area opened and then Basilica’s two signature towers got erected by 1843. By that time, it was the largest church in the areas of North America. Talking about its interior, it had a different scenario. A generation would not be enough to understand the artistry as well as minute detailing related to the Basilica structure. Though, modifications and additions have been a part of the construction.
